Marlene Tseng Yu – Forces of Nature III

Mural-sized Paintings

Exhibition by the New York artist Marlene Tseng Yu

Sept 6 – Oct. 9, 2006 Eisenstadt, Austria

The first Austrian exhibition of paintings by New York artist Marlene Tseng Yu took place in Eisenstadt and was an enormous success.
Heidi Vukovits and Dr. Rudolf Götz, Director of the Burgenland Federal Gallery, the organizers, should be congratulated for
introducing this exceptional artist: attendance at the opening Vernissage in the Orangerie of the Esterhazy Palace Gardens on September
6th exceeded 500 visitors.

Chairman Christian Illedits, representing the Provincial Governor of Burgenland, Hans Niessl, opened the exhibition officially and
Prof. Dr. Alecxander Giese, President of the Austrian P.E.N. Club, gave the main speech about the artists and the presented murals.

All visitors then had the pleasures of tasting the newly-created Haydn Wine “Miracle”, grown in honour of the great compose Joseph Haydn,
in the vineyards of Heidi and Otto Binder in Eisenstadt.

A fascinated international audience was evident: art-enthusiasts from the USA, England, Holland and Switzerland (among others) arrived
in Burgenland to demonstrate their appreciation of the artist and her extraordinary Forces of Nature murals.

During the first week over 1000 persons attended the exhibition.

Marlene Tseng Yu is curator of the art movement “Forces of Nature” and founder of the “Rain Forest Art Foundation”.
